Visceral therapy
It is a therapeutic approach that deals with the treatment of dysfunctions and imbalances of internal organs.
Bližší popis
This therapy works with internal organs whose function is somehow impaired. Every organ in the body retains a subtle movement around its axis in three planes. This movement originates from embryonic development, when the organs were getting to their current position. Impaired organ movement (called motility) can manifest itself in various symptoms, even in places distant from the impaired organ. For example, impaired liver function can cause a disorder in the right shoulder joint, impaired intestinal function often leads to dysfunction of the statics of the spine. Therefore, the patient may not even know that the primary cause of his problems (e.g. a painful knee) can be caused by a malfunction of an internal organ. This therapy allows for the examination, evaluation and treatment of disorders of organs that are not working as they should. The therapy itself restores the movement of the organ and relieves spasms. The therapist uses gentle touches to examine and restore the physiological function of the internal organ. In this type of therapy, anatomical knowledge of the human body and the therapist's palpation ability are very important. The movements are targeted at specific ligaments and muscles of internal organs. The therapy sometimes brings surprising treatment options for the patient.
